Update on Life

Here I am, still standing up, still struggling with vet school, which I barely can believe I will make it through where I am right now. I'm not gonna lie, I did think about giving up, in fact so many times, but these three things keep me going; whole loads of money spent, crappy future if I don't have this degree, and my friends. Yes, friends play such a big impact in my life even if it means sharing stupid gossips or going window shopping. I know they don't make any sense. I mean, what does going window shopping have anything to do with surviving life and most importantly, vet school? Well to me, it's just simply mean when you're spending time with friends, then you tell them what you feel, it'll just be a relief when they too, feel the same way or when they will just listen to you. Sometimes, it's just the act of telling your problems to somebody that will somehow make you feel better. It's really unhealthy to keep your feelings to yourself. Trust me, I know that. I used to be so secretive and reluctant especially regarding family matters that I was really in a bad shape of myself. I felt like I was so physically and mentally ill. And then in my early 20s I found God and I was more opened up to some friends and that was when things seemed to be looking up at last. Sometimes I stumbled and it felt like I was so lost on my way. But then I know I will always have friends to turn to. Things fluctuate but they are not gonna be bad like all the times. Like right now, I am really glad that my exam result came out better than I expected. Just when I thought I suck badly in vet school lol. I still have a bright future I guess (:

Sopoong Korean Food, IOI City Mall

Hello,

Last few days, my friend and I went to IOI City Mall. We wanted to eat outside as we got bored of the food in college, so we decided to give Sopoong a try. I have tasted Korean food before and to be honest, I don't like it. But, after reviewing so many times, and after some of my friends told me that the price is quite cheap as compared to the other restaurant, why not? So, off we go.

Now that we have bus to the mall, it gets easier. For 17th college residence, you could just wait outside, at the opposite side, and you only have to pay RM1 (relatively speaking, I think the bus fare should cost you less than 1 buck as it takes less than 5 minutes to arrive there). But, if you don't mind sweating a little, I think IOI City Mall is within easy walking distance of the college or Hospital Serdang. Anyway, we went there by bus and we walked back to college.

Upon the arrival, we were greeted warmly by the staff there with the usual 'annyeonghaseyo'. The decoration was simple and nice and earthy which I love. I ordered bulgogi (small portion) for RM19.90. It was a set of a bowl of rice, stir-fried beef mixed with vegetables, and also side dish. Surprisingly, small portion was not small at all! Unfortunately, the beef portion of the bulgogi was too little as compared to the content of vegetables. I mean, it's a bulgogi right? So I expected it to be as good as the bulgogi pictures I searched on the Google Image lol. Fortunately, I love vegetables so it was not a big matter. I finished them all, with the help of my friend hehe. I was so full. If you don't eat much, you should share it with one more person. My friend ordered a set of topokki + gimbap for RM16.90 if I'm not mistaken. It's just the tea that came with the set tasted a little weird. It didn't taste like a green tea. I don't know, maybe it wasn't meant to be a green tea lol. Topokki was a bowl of rice cake mixed with some sauce and vegetables. And for gimbap, I didn't see any difference as of sushi. As far as I know, you don't need soy sauce to eat gimbap as all the ingredients were already marinated beforehand. For more menu, you can search more on the website.

To conclude, I'm satisfied with the service and the food. It was okay and worth every penny. No bad experience. But I don't think I will eat there again. It's not that the food is not delicious, it's just simply not my cup of tea. But if I had to go there again (let's say my friend forced me lol), I will keep posting. And lucky for students, you will get 10% discount if you display your student card during payment. So, what are you waiting for? Go out and try something new! (:
